There are various rail systems in California that you can take to reach the Disneyland California Resort. 

Here is how you can get to Disneyland by AMTRAK and Metrolink.

By AMTRAK

Closest Stop: Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center

Taking a train is the easiest way to reach California Disney Resort without going through the traffic.

You must reach the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), the closest stop to Disneyland California. 

The stop can be accessed only on the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train line. 

This line runs between San Luis Obispo and San Diego with several stops like Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Orange County. 

If you are traveling from regions outside this line, take an Amtrak and transfer to the Pacific Surfliner in a station close to you. 

Once you reach ARTIC, you can get to Disneyland Park by:

The Metro Bus connects Northwest/Southeast 5th Street and Downtown Los Angeles to the East Shuttle Roadway at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. 

The bus travels from Downtown LA, Figueroa Station (northbound), 6th Street (Eastbound), 5th Street (Westbound) and Flower Street (Southbound). 

It then goes through I-110 (Harbor Transitway), I-105 and to the Norwalk Green Line Station, stopping at 37th St., Slauson and Manchester Stations.

Norwalk Station is the most convenient connection point for transferring to the Metro Express Line 460.

Then take the bus Route 76 west to MAc Authur-Harbor Blvd Stop.

Long Beach Airport (LGB)

Long Beach Airport is 13 miles from Disneyland California Resort.

Exit the airport and take a taxi to the Southeast corner of Spring Street and Lakewood Boulevard. 

Take Long Beach Bus 102 to the Norwalk/Wardlow stop from there.

Transfer to Orange County Bus Route 46 from Norwalk and reach the Harbor-East Shuttle Area. 

This stop is 2 minutes from the park. 

Otherwise, claim your baggage and cross Donal Douglas Drive to Ground Transportation, from where you can take the Karmel Shuttle, Limousines or Taxicabs.

Hollywood Burbank Airport

Hollywood Burbank Airport is 42 miles from Disneyland Resort California. 

You can take Amtrak and Metrolink to reach the park from the airport. 

To reach the train station, take a complimentary shuttle from Airport Parking Lot C and reach the station. 

From the train station, take Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner to ARTIC Station. 

From the station, you can take buses to reach the park. 

You can also take a variety of shuttles and limousines to reach the park directly. 

Ontario International Airport (ONT)

Ontario International Airport lies 55 miles from California Disney Resort. 

Visitors who wish to take public transport have two options. 

Option 1: Via Bus Route 61 and Metrolink Riverside Line:

Take Bus Route 61 southwest to Downtown Pomona Metrolink Station on 1st St. and S. Garey Ave.

Switch to the Metrolink Riverside Line, traveling west to Union Station in Los Angeles.

Transfer again to the Metrolink Orange County Line, heading south to Anaheim.

Upon arriving at Anaheim Station, travelers can opt for the Anaheim Resort Transit Route 15 or OCTA Bus Route 50 for direct access to Disneyland Resort.

Option 2: Via Omnitrans Bus Route 61 and Metrolink San Bernardino Line:

Take Omnitrans Bus Route 61 north to Fontana Metrolink Station on Orange Way.

Transfer to the San Bernardino Line heading west to Union Station in Los Angeles.

Then, transfer to the Orange County Line, continuing south to Anaheim.

Similar to Option 1, upon reaching Anaheim Station, travelers can choose between the Anaheim Resort Transit Route 15 or OCTA Bus Route 50 to access Disneyland Resort.

In addition to public transport, airport shuttles, limos and cabs are available. 

San Diego International Airport (SAN)

Disneyland California lies 96 miles from the San Diego International Airport (SAN).

For travelers inclined towards public transit, San Diego’s Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) becomes the gateway to a series of interconnected transportation options leading to Disneyland.

MTS Bus Route 992: From either Terminal #1 or Terminal #2, take a bus on Route 992 towards the Santa Fe Depot. 

Buses run every 10 minutes between 5 am and 12.50 am daily.

Board Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner from Santa Fe Depot for a scenic 2-hour trip to Anaheim.

Arriving at Anaheim Station, transfer to the Anaheim Resort Transit Route 15 for a direct ride to Disneyland Resort. 

Alternatively, switch to the OCTA Bus Route 50 and alight at Katella-Harbor Blvd. 

With just a short walk along Harbor Blvd. (approximately three blocks), the Disneyland Resort awaits.

Amtrak operates seven days a week, providing 12 scheduled round trips.

While operational Monday through Saturday, the Coaster doesn’t operate on Sundays, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas Day.

You can also take shuttles, limousines, or taxis for direct transportation.

Shuttles are available at transportation plazas across Terminals 1 and 2 and at the curbside at the Commuter Terminal.

Pre-arranging transportation before arriving at the airport is recommended, as it ensures a seamless and swift transfer.
