Disney World Water Park Tickets

Disney World

Disney World Water Park Tickets provide admission to one Walt Disney World theme park per day, but also provide admission to Disney water parks and select sports activities during the same ticket use period.

Tickets can be purchased in multi-day increments from 2 to 10 days, with a longer validity period between visits than the number of park days purchased. This extended validity period accommodates water park visits or down days without needing additional tickets.

The ticket option is ideal for visitors who plan to spend multiple days at Walt Disney World and want to combine their theme park experiences with access to the water parks, but have no desire to include the Park Hopper option. In this article, you can find out everything you need to know about Disney World Water Park tickets, the experiences included, what it offers, costs, discounts and more!

Experience Offered by This Ticket

The Disney World Water Park Tickets permit the integration of standard Walt Disney World theme park admission with additional admissions to Disney water parks and certain sports experiences onto a single multi-day ticket.

The ticket allows admission for a specified number of days to one Walt Disney World theme park per day, including admission to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Admission to the parks is limited to one park per day, and Park Hopper access is not permitted.

In addition to theme park access, this ticket also includes a corresponding number of “Plus Visits” equal to the number of days on the ticket. These Plus Visits allow admission to Disney water parks or selected recreational venues, including Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, and selected golf and other sports venues. Plus Visits may occur on the same day or on separate days from theme park attendance, providing additional flexibility.

Another important feature of this ticket is that it has a larger window of validity than the admission days, allowing its holders to spend more days using the ticket than they have theme park admission days. This feature enables the ticket holder to intersperse theme park visits with visits to water parks, or with non-park days, rather than being required to visit a theme park each day consecutively.

The Walt Disney World Water Park ticket is ideal for visitors who intend to spend an extended time at Walt Disney World and who wish to integrate admission to the water parks without needing to purchase separate tickets, especially families or families visiting during warmer periods, where alternating between the theme parks and water parks can reduce fatigue while maximizing park admissions.

Who Should Opt for the Disney World Orlando Water Park Ticket?

The Disney World Water Park Ticket is best for visitors who plan on having a multi-day stay at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Disney World Ticket Plus Water Park option allows visitors to have a more balanced theme park and water park itinerary. The Plus Visits enable visitors to spread out their schedule and not have to visit a theme park every day.

This ticket is ideal for people visiting the resort during the warmer months because they can take advantage of the Disney water parks. Depending on the visitor’s hotel, this ticket includes free Disney transportation.

However, this ticket is not a good option for visitors who want to visit several theme parks in a single day, as the Park Hopper access is not included. This ticket is also not ideal for visitors who will only be staying one or two days at Disney World, as standard theme park tickets do not include the Water Park & Sports option.

How to Reach the Parks

Walt Disney World is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, approximately 22 to 25 miles from Orlando International Airport and about a 25 to 30-minute drive from downtown Orlando.

The majority of people traveling to Disney will be using the airport and will continue on to their destination by taxi, Uber, Lyft, private car service, or shuttle. Public buses can also be used, but will take longer to get there. For those driving on their own, I-4 and FL-528 can be used to get to the destination, and there is ample parking available on-site at all of the theme parks as well as at Disney Resort hotels.

For those staying at the hotels on-site, their parking fees can be covered; the lots will take a discount code for any registered guests. After arriving at your destination, Walt Disney World has its own free transportation system that can get you from your hotel to the parks, to Disney Springs, etc.

Entry Rules & Ticket Use

Best Time to Visit

At theme parks, arrival times of first thing in the morning or midweek offer the shortest lines.

For water parks, the most convenient time window is late morning to early afternoon (after all attractions are operating).

Water parks are at peak activity in spring, summer, and early fall when temperatures are warm.

If visiting a theme park on alternate days, consider using Plus Visits on non-peak theme park days to avoid fatigue.

Tips for Ticket Holders

  • Schedule theme park and Plus Visit days ahead of time to take advantage of the extended validity period.
  • Do not schedule theme parks for every day of your trip; you can use water park days to avoid long walking days.
  • Check the weather, as water parks may close if storms roll through or if it is too cold.
  • Link tickets ASAP in the My Disney Experience app to help manage park reservations and view hours.
  • If traveling during a busy season, use water parks for travel on busier theme park days.
